Otsuka, a Japanese multinational pioneer in pharmaceutical products, commissioned us to design a serene and pleasant image in the lobby of their Barcelona office. 

The Japanese language in architecture and interior design is simplicity and harmony, using natural materials in balanced combination with each other, and the subtle refinement of their floral art in ceramics and painting. So it was a nice challenge to get the space to transmit this Japanese language, with materials such as Japanese paper mixed with natural wood on the walls, coconut fiber flooring, illuminated with an intimate light in the waiting area.

We also gave a little wink of sophistication in a painting that the artist Carmen Viarnés painted for Otsuka with floral elements and birds in a sunrise to give life to the space.
