Our challenge: bringing new life to our clients’ regal dining room and office space by utilizing their existing pieces - making them stand out while updating the space in harmony with new elements.

 

Our clients wished to refresh and restore their antique modernist chairs and a neutral ash dining table, while highlighting their custom artwork and a contemporary Ingo Maurer lamp. Starting from the "ivory" tone of all the existing housing, the existing sliding glass doors, originally made of silver aluminum, were lacquered. The existing table was lacquered in a stone tone to update and unify it in the space. Custom lacquered frames were made for the artwork in the same tones as the table. The chairs were reupholstered in silk and wool blends, to join the Modernist style and the avant-garde design.

We were also tasked with creating an inviting “chill-out” space for our client as part of an existing office, so we implemented a sofa-bed and white poufs to give light, while colorful silk cushions and carpet, provided an inviting nook to work, read and relax.
